The tourist allowance is a foreign exchange right granted to Algerian residents wishing to travel abroad. According to Bank of Algeria Instruction No. 07-2026 (effective July 19, 2026), this right is now granted via an international payment card.

Yes, minor children can benefit from the exchange right. The legal guardian receives the child's exchange right amount on their own international payment card.
People who benefited from the exchange right between July 21, 2025 and December 31, 2025 are entitled to benefit from it for the year 2026.
People who benefited from the exchange right between January 1, 2026 and July 18, 2026 can benefit from it starting January 1, 2027.
